Gospel Reconciliation
The Church is a unified spiritual family that has been entrusted with the message and the ministry of reconciliation.
In this sermon, I teach on Ephesians 2:14-22 and address the reality of racism seen between Jews and Gentiles that led to division and hostility. The timeless truth of God’s Word shows us that racism has existed for a long time and that God’s people haven’t always made the right choices or done the right thing. In this text, we also see that Jesus’ death on the cross was the catalyst for unity, harmony, and spiritual family. These truths were evident in Paul’s letter to the church at Ephesus and they continue to be true in our world today as well. However, we know that when the Church stands united the Church shines brightest.
I hope you’ll find encouragement and hope as you watch this sermon to see that the Church of Jesus Christ must function as One Body, a Spiritual Family, and as Agents of Reconciliation.
