We Need 100!
My wife and I have embarked on a new, somewhat daunting, journey. We have jumped on board with a new church plant here in Salt Lake City, UT where less than 2% of the entire state is Christian. That makes Utah is one of the most unreached places in America! January 1st I officially joined the staff of Redeeming Life Church as the Minister of Outreach & Discipleship and am operating in this role as a self-supported missionary.
We are working hard to share the gospel and make disciples. We want to gather these disciples into a church and all of this takes resources. We need supplies for our church services. We want to give out printed materials and Bibles. And we spend a lot of time across the table with people in our homes, coffee shops, and restaurants.
One of the things that my wife and I believe in is the Word of God, the Bible. We believe it has the power to change people's lives and in light of Valentine's Day coming up, what better way to show the love of Christ than to offer free Jesus Storybook Bible's to families we are meeting with? These Bible's are great Jesus-centered Bibles that we read with our son regularly in our home and are the primary Bible's we're handing out to new families in our church plant.
With this in mind, we want to get at least 100 new Jesus Storybook Bibles donated by February 14th!
As a church, we have two big outreach events planned that will serve as perfect opportunities for us to hand these Jesus Storybook Bibles out to families in person! We're doing an Easter Sunrise Service on April 5th and we're doing a big free Summer Jam event on June 6 (live music, skate competition, bouncy house, free BBQ, etc).
