Evangelism Training in Urbandale, IA

Recently I had the honor of training a group of 40 believers at Creekside Church, in Urbandale, IA on some simple and practical methods of evangelism. Leading up to this workshop, I had to honor of being interviewed on The Truth Network radio in Des Moines, IA about these questions: Should we share the gospel? What is the gospel? and more. It was a fun interview and one that I am grateful for. We even saw a few people come to the workshop because they heard about it from the radio show. Thanks again to Chris Rohloff, Mike Demastus, and the Faith Works Live radio show for the opportunity!

During the two hour long workshop, we covered things like platform evangelism, which is simply a method of demonstrating and declaring the gospel with people in your relational network (where you live, work, play, and do business). We outlined not only what our platforms are but also strategic steps in leveraging those platforms in order to share the gospel or have gospel conversations.

We also covered practical tools to engage people who are far from God using a tool called "the 15 second story". This tool is designed to quickly take a "spiritual pulse" of the person you're talking to and discern whether or not you can proceed with a gospel conversation with that person.

We also practiced using a gospel-sharing tool called the "3 Cirlces". This is a modern and updated gospel-sharing tool that lays about everything from Creation, Fall, Rescue, and Redemption in a very simple, easy to draw graphic. This tool is very effective due to it's simple design and easy language to reproduce in a normal conversation. Learn more about 3 Circles.

The group at Creekside Church not only learned about these tools but we also took time to actually practice using them right there during the workshop. It was a beautiful thing to see and hear these faithful disciples preparing themselves to engage the lost world by putting in a little practice. Love it!

These workshops are a ton of fun and something I am passionate about doing because I truly believe in releasing the priesthood of believers to live out their unique calling in the places God already has them. I believe the Church being the Church will turn the world upside and bring God the most glory. I've had the honor of teaching these workshops multiple times in various places and if your church, small group, or leadership team wants to learn more about this workshop or others like it that I teach, you can find more information here. I'd be honored to come and work with you in equipping your church to live on mission in your community!
